BT CRUISER CHAPTER RALLY MINUTES SPOUT SPRINGS, VIRGINIA April 29, 2010 BT Cruiser Chapter members present: Paul and Kathy Aigner, Maurice and Maxine Calvert, Ray and Novella Cone, George and Laverne David, Bob and Shirley Dingman, John and Helen Farrar, Richard and Diane Gifford, Tony and Elaine Grenzy, Doug and Rita MacLean, Lowell and Jan Reisert, Rick and Mary Lou Ross, Fred and Betty Schuster, Jules and Maia Simon, David Slyck, Bob and Theresa Steen, Frank and Susie Szynalski, Mark and Kay Ulm. Guests present : Peter and Signe Garms and Dee Maxe (Kay ‘s sister) President Ulm called the meeting to order and the minutes were read. Motion to approve made by Rich Gifford, seconded by Tony Grenzy. Minutes approved. Treasurers Report: Lowell Reisert presented the report. Motion to approve made by Rich Gifford, seconded by Paul Aigner. Report was approved. Officers’ Report: Paul Aigner summarized upcoming rallies. Fall 2010 in Amana, Iowa hosted by Pat and Cathy Conley, Spring 2011 in San Antonio, Texas. Maia and Jules Simon will be doing a Pennsylvania rally in the Fall of 2011. Dave Slyck offered to check on doing a rally in Spring of 2012 in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. Paul and Kathy are heading to San Antonio after this rally to investigate and plan the San Antonio rally. Mark Ulm reviewed the duties of president and vice-president. To promote membership, Mark has sent out a mailing to 110 BT owners that he did not have e-mail addresses and received about 10 responses to be added to the e-mail and mailing list. He currently has about 150 BT owners on the e-mail list. There was discussion on the Yahoo internet group which discusses problems and tips for BT’s. New Business: President Ulm opened discussion regarding membership with Gulfstream International. He read an email response that was sent to the entire BT Cruisers owners from Bonnie Cooper at Gulfstream International. The board members had asked the president to correspond with Gulfstream before any discussion with the general membership so that a fair picture of the situation could be presented. After some discussion and opinions were aired, Paul Aigner made a motion to table further discussion until we received some response from the Gulfstream International owners as indicated by Bonnie Cooper. Motion seconded by Jules Simon and approved. Maia Simon made a motion that the executive board need not respond to all the BT owners who received Ms. Cooper’s email that are not BT Cruiser members. Maxine Calvert seconded. Motion carried. Doug MacLean made a motion that, in future rallys, the Host or Hosts do not pay rally fees. Paul Aigner seconded. After some discussion, the motion was approved. Shirley Dingman inquired about the policy of the chapter regarding injury liability. Maxine Calvert motioned to add a liability clause similar to those used by other RV groups to the next rally application. Rich Gifford seconded, motion was approved. Maia Simon inquired about the car flags for BT cruisers. The chapter purchased some flags in the past and they have disappeared. Further inquiries were to be made. President Ulm announced congratulations were in order for outstanding members Lowell and Jan Reisert and Ray and Novella Cone who have been to every BT Cruiser rally (10 in all) since the beginning 5 years ago. Vice-President Aigner presented a trophy to Mark and Kay Ulm for furthest distance traveled to the rally. Paul Aigner moved that the meeting be adjourned, Doug MacLean seconded. Meeting adjourned.
