Military Chapter #35 of Gulf Streamers International RV Club
Minutes of Meeting April 24, 2009
Meeting Location:  Spring Rally,  Gatlinburg, TN

The meeting was called to order at 6 PM by John Doty, President.  The Pledge of Allegiance was led by John Doty.  We had 14 members present with one new member joining, John Mastin.

The minutes of the meeting from June 24, 2008 were read by Nancy Williams, Secretary.  Minutes were approved as read.

Treasurer's report was given by Mike McKnight, Treasurer.  He reported a balance of $850.00.  He received one new membership at this Rally.   Balance after expenses of the Spring Rally is $509.61.

Old Business: 

1.  Dave Williams brought up a question about getting name badges for our Chapter.  He mentioned that no vendor had been at the last Back Home in Indiana Rally for us to order the badges.  After discussion a motion was made by Frank Bagnoli and seconded by Sharon Doty for Dave Williams to explore the availability and cost of badges from two vendors that make badges. Motion Passed.  There was also discussion for the club to buy the badges. No motion was made due to lack of support.

2. President, John Doty, announced that the West Coast Vice President, Joan Beason, is still trying to plan a rally.  The group then discussed rally places and times to have them.   There also was a suggestion to have a 3rd Vice President.  That idea was tabled for this year.

New Business:

1.  President, John Doty, brought up the question about how often we should meet/have a rally.  James (Red) Farrar said it would be nice to have one in the Fall.

2.  Dues ($10.) for the 2009 - 2010 year were collected from members present at the meeting.

3.  Election of Officers was held.  President, John Doty, asked for nominations from the floor.  James (Red) Farrar made a motion to have the present officers remain in office one more year.   Seconded by Ken Mitchell.  Motion Passed.

4.  Dave Williams thanked everyone for attending our first rally in Gatlinburg, TN.  He said how much he appreciated the help he had received.

Motion to adjourn by: Les Potteiger with second by James (Red) Farrar.  Motion passed.  Meeting adjourned at 7 PM.
