Hi everyone,
A HUGE thank you to Robin & Eddie for hosting our October rally in Leavenworth. We were lucky enough to have our rally on the same weekend the city was celebrating Oktoberfest with lots of food, music, dancing (you had to do the chicken dance just once) and stores to shop in. Robin & Eddie picked a great restaurant for dinner on Saturday night and part of the cost of the dinner was picked up by the club.
Besides having fun in town, there were five of us who were able to brave the cold and golf on Friday morning. I guess I was the biggest wimp with two hand warmers going, and unfortunately I couldn't use the weather as an excuse for my game because we were all in the same boat. We had lots of laughs on the golf course and that night Robin & Eddie hosted a s'mores around-the-campfire dessert event after our potluck dinner. Yummy!
We were joined by Richard and Ellie Bonewitz from Maryland, who own a Gulfstream and just happened to be in the area on the way to visit their son in Bremerton. They had so much fun with us that they are going to try to make it again next year.
Sunday we had fresh muffins and fruit and a short meeting, after which everyone headed home, south, or on vacation.
During the meeting, we were reminded that Doug and Carol Brown are hosting the Christmas party on December 5th and everyone is asked to bring two nice White Elephants valued at $20 or more each (one for a boy and one for a girl). Carol will be e-mailing more later.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our gatherings so much fun this year and something to really look forward to. Even though not everyone can host a rally, I appreciate your coming and participating in the fun. We would not be such a great group without each and every one of your ideas, helpful hints on how to fix things, and exchange of recipes.
Have a wonderful holiday season, a Happy New Year, and all you snow birds, drive safely.
