INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP
What is the Gulf Streamers International RV Club?
The club is an association sponsored by Gulf Stream Coach.
Members receive the MAIN STREAM, the club’s quarterly
magazine-style newsletter. The MAIN STREAM includes service
information, company highlights, rally information, chapter
information and much, much more. Members are eligible to
attend professionally scouted and planned rallies, led by a
Gulf Stream representative or wagonmaster. See the Benefits
section on our web site for the many other benefits available
to club members.
Who can join the Gulf Streamers International RV Club?
Owners of any Gulf Stream recreational vehicle, whether
towable or motorized, short or long.
Do I need a new membership if I trade RVs?
No. Once assigned a membership number, that is your number for
life. The person who purchases your used Gulf Stream would
need to apply for his own membership account. (See “Member
Sponsor” information below.) Should you let your club
membership lapse, that membership becomes inactive. When you
are ready to reinstate your membership, you can use the
renewal rate to reactivate your membership.
What if I trade my Gulf Stream for “some other brand”?
Your membership in the club must become inactive. As
membership fees are non-refundable, we will note on your
account how much time was left on your membership. Once you
realize your mistake and trade back to another Gulf Stream,
you can “reactivate” your membership for that remaining time
at no charge.
Can I get replacement decals (membership numbers and
logos)?
Yes. Simply call, write or e-mail us and tell us what you need
and they will be replaced free of charge. (The numbers will be
individual numbers rather than a four-digit set.) We love to
hear that our members have traded to a new Gulf Stream
product!
If your decals are damaged due to washing or from a new paint
job, we will still replace them for you free of charge. Just
contact us.
What is a Member Sponsor?
Members can obtain membership brochures and even extra MAIN
STREAMs to hand out to other Gulf Stream owners they meet
along the way. Print their own name and membership number
under the “member sponsor” section before handing the
application over. When that new friend sends in their
application, the member who told them about the club will
receive a free one-year renewal. Once a member has enlisted 12
new members in this way, that member will receive a “lifetime”
membership in the club.
RALLIES
Do I have to be a member to attend the rallies?
Yes. Gulf Streamers rallies are run for the benefit of current
members. Members can bring guests to rallies as long as the
guests are staying with them in their motorhome or trailer.
International rallies are sometimes opened up to non-members;
however, non-members will be charged an extra fee.
How does a Gulf Stream Pre-Rally differ from a Club rally?
“Pre-Rallies” are Gulf Stream-sponsored rallies held prior to
FMCA national conventions and are run separately from the Gulf
Streamers International RV Club rallies. Membership in the
club is not required to attend these pre-rallies. Gulf Stream
recreational vehicle ownership is still required.
What happens if I have to cancel my reservation at a rally?
Our standard rally cancellation policy follows. Any deviance
from this policy is made on a case-by-case basis.
All cancellation notices requesting a refund must be received
in writing. The following cancellation schedule applies:
Cancellation notices received 30 days prior to a scheduled
event will receive the entire deposit (payment) unless
otherwise specified. Notices received within 30 days of a
scheduled event will be charged an administrative fee of 10%
of the complete rally fee, plus any additional incurred costs
(if any). Persons failing to attend an event without prior
notification will forfeit 100% of the total fees. Refund
requests must be made in writing and postmarked within 45 days
of the event. All rallies/caravans are complete package tours
as outlined in this advertisement and are only open to owners
of Gulf Stream recreational vehicles. No refunds will be made
for any unused portion of the event (unless an arrangement has
been made prior to departure). The uniqueness of some rallies
and caravans will require a deposit and cancellation schedule
different from the one listed. If so, the requirements will be
noted in the descriptive literature and/or newsletter.
The Gulf Streamers International RV Club also offers trip
insurance to help offset loss in the event of a emergency.
Do I get my money back if the club cancels a rally?
Yes. Full refunds will be made if the International Office
cancels a rally. Another option is to transfer your deposit to
another rally or event.
CHAPTERS
Do I have to belong to Gulf Streamers International RV Club
to join a chapter?
Yes. Chapter activities are a part of the larger International
club. Membership must be kept current.
Do I automatically belong to a chapter?
No. Chapter membership is optional. We encourage you to join a
local chapter as those rallies will provide new friends who
live near you. You may join any and/or all chapters you wish.
Do I have to belong to a chapter to attend a chapter rally?
No. Gulf Streamers members may wish to join up with another
chapter’s rally while traveling in that area. For instance,
snowbirds from Indiana wintering in Florida may want to meet
some of the Florida Gators. Of course, rally registration
guidelines apply.
Can I belong to a chapter if I no longer own a Gulf Stream?
No. International membership rules also apply to chapters and
the primary rule of membership is that one must own a Gulf
Stream. Occasionally, chapters will have a reunion rally and
invite former members to attend. However, these guests cannot
hold chapter membership or office, offer input in chapter
meetings or host rallies.
